Fifth shot

[Elsa wakes up rather disoriented. It's warmer than she remembers, definitely warmer than the end of March ought to be. And the fact that she's in one piece, safe and sound, is still strange to get used to after dying. While endless extra lives are a nice thing to have in the absence of her immortality, it has proven to take quite a bit of getting used to. This waking is, of course, even harder because she's back to missing an eye, an ear, and most of her hair. The regains she took from the post office must have been temporary, then. Interesting.

Then she looks at the date. Today is May eighth.

May. Eighth.

Where the ☠☠☠☠ did the past five or six weeks go? The last thing she remembers is being squished beneath the foot of a giant milkman robot. Did this town seriously manage to brainwash her into thinking she was a good little housewife for all that time?

A glance out the window shows a miraculously rebuilt Mayfield, which only takes her slightly by surprise; rapid reconstruction is not something she puts past the people in charge of this hellhole. And, really, if she has to deal with missing over a month in her life, the least the town could do is give her a functional world to return to. She can always ask Cap or Tabby what happened after her death.

Well, maybe not them. She'd prefer competent information, so it'd be better to ask Elizabeth or the Doctor for that update. For now, however, it's time to actually get out there and take a look at things for herself.]

A: phone

How often are people droned for over a month?

What the ☠☠☠☠ did I miss all this time?

B: 951 Beulah Street

[Well, okay, Elizabeth seems to be a drone. Even worse, today seems to be Mother's Day, so she and the other drone child are adamant about showing how much they love her, giving her hugs and offering to make her breakfast and showing off how well they cleaned the house. Elsa, being a creature that does not do affection, is more than a little creeped out by this. She just woke up from a long-term droning, she doesn't need this right now.

She finally chases them out of the kitchen, telling them to go start a garden for her in the back yard or something, and makes herself some tea. She'll feel better once she's had a cup.

Or three.]

C: Around town

[Elsa's wandering around, trying to see if there's any sign of damage left over from the attacks leading up to April 1st. Unsurprisingly, she finds nothing.

Oh, and she has a shotgun slung casually over her shoulder. No harm in staying armed, especially when those ☠☠☠☠ing bears might be hanging around.]

D: The High School, Monday morning

[Apparently, Elsa's teaching home economics now! She has been ever since she was droned, but this is the first morning in which Elsa's actually aware of it. As such, she's completely unprepared for the day's lesson. Time to improvise and teach these girls something more useful than how to cook and sew. Any idiot can figure those out well enough to survive.

This time, she has two shotguns. They're currently sitting on her desk.]

From here on out, we're going to use this class period for things that actually matter.

Today: how to care for your firearms. Next week, we'll move on to actually using them.
